"Very nice," Elena said, after he'd put the prototype through its paces. Reeve beamed. "There's one thing I don't get, though," she added. "Why a fortune-teller?"
"We're planting him at an amusement park. It fits."
"I thought you were the operator."
"I am. Give me your hand." She extended it doubtfully, and he studied her palm. "Well, you'll get to travel quite a bit, you're, uh, passionate, emotional, and you're...still alive." He released her hand, smiling sheepishly. "Looks like I need to read up on this."
She grinned. "Not bad. Palmistry and robotics. You're just full of hidden talents."
