She sat up in bed, grumbling, forced her eyes open, blinked muzzily at the clock, then yelped "Oh SHIT!" and flung the covers off. Her eyes didn't seem fully focused but she still managed, mostly, to get coffee into the mug, sugar into the coffee, and socks onto her feet. She ran back into the kitchen, burned her mouth on the coffee, gave up and ran back to her bedroom to finish dressing. No time to eat - maybe if she was lucky she'd have time to buy something at the station. She gulped down the coffee, ran into the bathroom to brush her teeth, comb her hair, and try to straighten her tie, for all the good it would do, because she was out the door at a dead run seconds later, and she didn't get to slow her pace until she'd flung herself through the train doors as they were closing.
It wasn't until just before the train got to her stop that she noticed, in her reflection in the mirror, that she'd put on the moogle-print tie her brother had given her as a joke when she got the job. She sighed, and braced herself.
At least Tseng had brought donuts, as she discovered when she got to the office. That was enough to almost let her ignore Reno.
