    The creature was like none of the gods she knew, but she believed its power.  It spoke in her head, in Greek, the first of her languages, and offered a contract.  If she accepted, and fought against his witches with the powers he offered, he would grant her a wish. 

    If she wished for the throne, she could still lose it.  If she wished to gain and keep the throne, she might be a failure as a queen. 

    Finally, she decided, and summoned him.

    "I wish to make Egypt great once again, so that my name will always be remembered."

I'm actually kind of tempted to change her wish to something that would result in her legendary charisma... I dunno. I'm still at the research stage, having found a 350-plus page PDF about magic in the Greco-Roman world.
