When he logs off, he takes off the visor, curls up in the chair and sits hugging his knees to his chest.
She didn't remember Kite. That scared him. So did the knowledge Kite was worried too. He could have been overreacting, but he doesn't think Kite was.
He wants to hear someone say that it's nothing, she'll be fine. He wants her back to normal.
He stays online, though not logged into the World, while the light from the window fades. He can't help hoping Mia will email him, though she never has before.
At least she remembered him.
